Tuning the SB1000
My current antenna uses the Wolf River Coils Silver Bullet 1000.
Each installation is different, but I wanted to share what my experience is tuning the antenna here. The whip I’m using is the 102 inch collapsible. I briefly tried a fixed 102 inch Hustler mobile whip, but this reduced bandwidth measurably and made tuning to the 80m CW portion impossible, due to the narrower gauge of the element.
Here’s my tuning chart:
